Campbellsville University to host speakers for spring chapel series

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville University’s chapel series for the fall semester, which is open to the public, have been announced by Ed Pavy, director of campus ministries at CU and chair of the chapel committee.
Each chapel program is at 10 a.m. each Wednesday of the semester in the Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, Ky.
The Campbellsville University Senior Staff is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, Jan. 26.
Dr. Joseph L. Owens, senior pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Lexington, Ky., is scheduled to speak Wednesday, Feb. 2.
Dr. Galen Carey, director of government affairs for the National Association of Evangelicals in Washington, D.C., is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, Feb. 9.
“The Campbellsville Singers” will be performing Wednesday, Feb. 16. Matt Hodge, instructor of music and fine arts recruiter, serves as the director.
The Rev. Brian L. Shoemaker, campus minister of Christian Academy in Louisville, Ky., is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, Feb. 23.
A wellness program, coordinated by CU Wellness Committee and Office of Counseling, is scheduled on Wednesday, March 2.
Dr. Wayne Barnard, director of Student Ministries for International Justice Mission in Washington, D.C., is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, March 9.
Clemette L. Haskins of Bowling Green, Ky. is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, March 23.
Campbellsville University’s School of Music is scheduled to perform on Wednesday, March 30. The program is directed by Dr. J. Robert Gaddis, dean of the School of Music.
Dr. Joseph K. Grieboski, founder and chairman of the board of Institute on Religion and Public Policy in Alexandria, Va., is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, April 6. His message is titled “The Plight of the Persecuted Church.”
Campbellsville University Heritage Day will be hosted on Wednesday, April 13. The “Holy Week Chapel” is scheduled on Wednesday, April 20, and is coordinated by the Robertson Worship Committee.
Awards Day is scheduled for Wednesday, April 27.
No chapel is scheduled for Wednesday, March 16 due to Spring Break.
Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through of a variety of informative speakers and presentations.
All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10) and are streamed live on the Internet.
