CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville University’s Alumni & Friends Park, Noe Plaza will have its dedication Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. at 301 N. Columbia Ave., Campbellsville.

The park is located at the corner of Broadway and North Columbia. Campbellsville University’s Benji Kelly, vice president for development, invited everyone to the unveiling of the park.

The concept of the Alumni & Friends Park has been evolving for three years. At first the park was going to be a building, but after many meetings and discussions, it is now a park including a fountain, colonnade, donor recognitions with pavers and benches.

The construction has been going on for a little over a year.

There are three parts to the idea behind the park. Kelly said, “It’s a gift to the community. It’s bringing more awareness to Campbellsville University, and it’s allowing alumni to support their alma mater.”

The park is a place students, faculty, staff, coaches and the community can go to relax, Kelly said. They can get lunch and enjoy the scenes of the park, or it can be used as an outside classroom.

“We’re just excited that this is coming to completion,” Kelly said. “I think it’s going to bring great visibility to the university, and I think it’s a great way for the community to be proud of Campbellsville University. Plus it is our gift to the community. I think it will be something that the university will be proud of for years and years to come,” he said.

Campbellsville University is a widely acclaimed Kentucky-based Christian university with more than 3,600 students offering 63 undergraduate options, 17 master’s degrees, five postgraduate areas and eight pre-professional programs. The website for complete information is campbellsville.edu.
