CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY PERCUSSION INSTRUCTOR TO HAVE FACULTY RECITAL, FEB. 22

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Chad Floyd, instructor of percussion at Campbellsville University, will present a faculty lecture recital on drum set Monday, February 22 at 8 p.m. in Gheens Recital Hall.
The recital is free and open to the public.
The topic of the recital is the performance style of Dave Weckl, world-renowned fusion drummer who is best known for his association with the Chick Corea Electric Band. The recital will feature performances from the Dave Weckl Band including analysis and performances of some of Weckl’s solos.
Floyd received a master of arts degree in educational leadership from Eastern Kentucky University. He received a master of music in percussion performance from Belmont University, and a bachelor of music in music education from Campbellsville University.
Floyd also serves as assistant marching band director at Campbellsville University.
