Director of church consulting at LifeWay to speak at CU chapel service

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University will host Dr. Daniel J. Garland, director of church consulting at LifeWay Christian Resources, for the weekly chapel service Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. in Ransdell Chapel, located on the campus of Campbellsville University at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

Chapel is held in the Ransdell Chapel on campus at 10 a.m. every Wednesday and is free and open to the public.

Garland will also speak at the Transformational Church Summit, a conference for pastors and church leaders, being held on campus, Sept. 27 and 28.

The Transformational Church Summit is a 2-day, 24-hour conference event that will challenge and equip you with tools to bring about transformation in your church. Garland will speak alongside Dr. Thom Rainer, Dr. John Mark Toby, Dr. Rusty Ellison, the Rev. Charles Grant and Dr. Shane Garrison

Garland received a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Kentucky, a master of divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a doctor of ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Garland serves as the regional manager for the eastern region at LifeWay Christian Resources.

He has also served as pastor at Crestwood Baptist Church in Crestwood, Ky.; Zion Baptist Church in Henderson, Ky.; and Emmanuel Baptist Church in Batavia, Ohio. He has also served as interim or transitional pastor at nine other churches around Kentucky and one in Tennessee.

Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.

All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10).
