Dottie Davis receives promotion

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Dottie Davis of Campbellsville, instructor in education at Campbellsville University, has been promoted to assistant professor of education, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University.

Davis, an alumna of Campbellsville University, has served at the university since 1994. She began as administrative assistant to the president before beginning her role as an instructor in 2001.

Davis has also served as a third grade teacher at Campbellsville Elementary School from 2004 to 2005.

She received a bachelor of arts in early elementary education from the University of Kentucky in 1989; a master of arts in education in 1999 and Rank I in education and gifted and talented education in 2011, both from Campbellsville University; and is pursuing a doctorate in education from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minn.
