CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University will host the Legacy Art Exhibit featuring Henrietta Scott and her private watercolor students from Sept. 17 to Oct. 5 at the Campbellsville University Art Gallery at 205 University Drive, Campbellsville.
The exhibit is free to the public, and there will be a closing reception on Oct. 5 from 3:30 to 5 p.m., also at the gallery.
An adjunct instructor at Campbellsville University, Scott is also a retired teacher of the Adair County School System. Upon retiring, she opened the Highland Raku Studio and Gallery in Columbia, Ky. where she specializes in painting and pottery.
“In my work I feel a strong sense of place, time and person,” Scott said about her artwork. “From pasture lands and hillsides, small branches and soaring trees, I gather the inspiration to paint, draw and create art.”
Scott has received many awards for her artwork including the First Place Watercolor at the Kentucky State Fair, the Signature Member Award from Aqueous 2012 and the Governor’s Awards in the Arts.
She is a member of several professional organizations such as Kentucky Watercolor Society, Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen and Kentucky Crafted: The Market.
