Before coming to Campbellsville University, Switzer served as an executive director in economic development. In this role, he worked closely with businesses, both existing and starting. Switzer led the efforts for Work Ready In-Progress certification for Casey County and the development of the Casey County Center for Campbellsville University.

He has additional experience in successful grant development, securing grant awards of over $1M and tax incentives for local businesses of over $2M.  His experience in relationship-building has been integral in pursuing and managing entrepreneurial opportunities that directly support the growth of CU.

Switzer has background in management positions in both private and public industries. He holds an MBA with a focus in international business and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Management and is a 2015 graduate of the Kentucky Institute of Economic Development. He has been with CU for more than three years and serves on the faculty for the School of Business, Economics, and Technology and manages special presidential projects, including several international projects that have expanded the university reach internationally.
