Campbellsville High School students learn about dual credit courses and allied health

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. Campbellsville High School students are taking more dual credit courses than they have before.

CHS partners with Campbellsville University to allow students to take high school classes, and, at the same time, receive college credit for them.

Scott Necessary, director of dual credit at CU, recently came to CHS to talk to students about their dual credit classes.

CHS students are taking dual credit English, nursing, chemistry classes and much more.

CHS students recently learned all about allied health and cosmetology careers.

Samantha Hayes, an environment specialist at Campbellsville University, came to CHS recently to talk to students about possible career paths.

Hayes told students about classes they can take to become a pharmacy technician, medical assistant, phlebotomy technician, state registered nurse aid and a cosmetologist.
