“Chris Sanders brings deep and significant administrative expertise to his Louisville Education Center director’s position,” Dr. Keith Spears, vice president for graduate and professional studies and associate vice president for academic affairs, said.

Sanders served as vice president for international programs at Upper Iowa University’s Office of International Programs in Fayette, Iowa from Feb. 2011 until his employment at CU Jan. 3, 2012 when he became the assistant dean of international education on the main campus.

“His years at Campbellsville University allow him to accomplish the learning curve at a quick pace,” Spears said. “Further, his knowledge in the development of domestic and international university learning centers will permit him to build upon the positive growth of the center.”

“We are very pleased that he is joining us and look forward to his thumbprint on the university’s mission in Louisville.”

Sanders received his master’s of business administration degree at CU in May 2007 and received his bachelor of science degree in exercise science/sports medicine with a minor in health education at CU in May 2000 graduating magna cum laude. He was awarded the Sports medicine/Exercise Science Divisional Award at Honors and Awards Day and also played on the Tigers Soccer Team.

He was employed at the university from February 2003 until September 2007 serving in the Admissions Office and Center for International Education.

Before his employment at CU, Sanders was athletics/fitness assistant department manager for Galyan’s Trading Company in 2001-03 and was fitness instructor at Ft. Knox Aquatic Center from 2000 to 2001.
Sanders is the son of James and Betty Sanders of Radcliff, Ky.
