CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY—“Today we gather to recognize special achievement,” Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University, said on April 26 during the Honors and Awards Ceremony at Campbellsville University.

“The Apostle Paul urges us to walk worthy of our calling,” Carter said.

Carter referenced Ephesians 4:1 from the Holy Bible, saying “I urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received with humility, gentleness, with patience, accepting one another in love.”

Carter explained the honors and awards ceremony was a way to honor students and faculty who had done just that.

He also took the time to give a university update to those in attendance.

“Campbellsville University has exceeded 5000 students,” Carter said.

Carter explained that this was a goal in the Vision 2025 document, a document which established goals the university wanted to meet by 2025.

“I think we are going to have to reset the record,” Carter said.

Almost 600 students are also graduating this Spring semester, according to Carter.

According to Carter, Campbellsville University has, again, earned high ranks from U.S. News & World Report and has made the Annual Report of Americas Best Christian Colleges.
