SOMERSET, Ky. — Campbellsville University-Somerset has partnered with Bob Evans to host a fundraiser for the CU-Somerset First Responders Scholarship Fund on Monday, Oct. 24.

The fundraiser will take place at the Bob Evans restaurant in Somerset at 3061 S. Hwy 27, Somerset, Ky., from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Bob Evans will donate 15 percent of each order when individuals present a flyer.

CU-Somerset staff will have an information table setup to share information about the programs offered through Campbellsville University in Somerset.

The CU-Somerset First Responder Scholarship can be applied for by any first responder looking to continue their education at CU-Somerset. For more information on the scholarship or to apply, contact Leanne Weddle, director of student services at CU-Somerset at mlweddle@campbellsville.edu or call/text 606-305-1617.

“CU-Somerset appreciates Bob Evans willingness to support our CU-Somerset First Responder Scholarship Fund,” Leah Franklin, director of CU-Somerset, said. The scholarship will be funded by gifts from individuals and local business.

“Our prayer is to build a substantial scholarship fund that will help first responders in our community since they, so graciously, serve us daily! Please help us support our First Responders by getting a flyer and eating at Bob Evans on Monday, Oct. 24 between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., ” Franklin said.

“Helping establish a scholarship fund enabling First Responders to continue their education is the least CU-Somerset can do for our local heroes who give sacrificially to us on a daily basis,” Weddle said.

Everyone interested in helping support the first responders through this scholarship fund is invited and encouraged to attend, Weddle said.
