The department of Art and Design prepares students for a career in fine art, graphic design, animation and teacher certification in art, with a strong foundation in Christian values.
The Art & Design Department of Campbellsville University provides visual learners with an undergraduate B.F.A (Bachelors of Fine Arts) professional degree or B.A (Bachelor of Arts) degree in the context of a Christian liberal arts environment.
The B.F.A and B.A programs preparers the student for careers in:
- art production,
- art education,
- graphic design,
- 3D animation,
- fine art,
- graduate school for further studies such as studio art, animation, art therapy, arts administration, arts history, art education, and museum studies among others.
The department provides a survey course for undergraduates in visual art which strives to teach understanding of arts language, art from different periods as well as from diverse cultures.
Another goal of the department is to produce visually literate individuals. This is accomplished through close interaction and instruction from a department composed of three full-time professors who are assisted by adjunct faculty with specialized areas of expertise.
